Heidi Castleden is a maker from the Central West of NSW, specialising in boutique women’s fashion. Castleden Co’s ethos is based on being ethically and environmentally sustainable, from fabric production to packaging. As well as sourcing unique ‘deadstock’ remnants (that would otherwise go to landfill) and creating her own natural fabric dyes, each year Castleden Co releases a limited collection of prints, designed by D&O. The print designs draw on the natural environment that inspires both of us on a daily basis. The latest collection features a collaboration between myself and one of my children—making it one of the most satisfying and special projects I’ve ever worked on.
