Illustrated Social Geography

Custom illustrated maps that tell the story of a place.

Maptoons captures the social geography of communities, events and shared experiences. These aren’t technical maps (although they are pretty accurate!) but rather, story-filled portraits of place — celebrating the landmarks, legends, in-jokes and everyday moments that make somewhere feel like yours.

Each Maptoon is a playful, unique piece of artwork designed to make people laugh, reminisce and feel proud of where they belong.

What is “Illustrated Social Geography”?

Regular maps show you where you are. Maptoons show you where you belong. Every place has an unofficial version — the shortcut everyone knows, the nickname for the local landmark, the story that gets retold every year.

People — their experiences and stories — are at the centre of every Maptoon. If your community has shared stories worth celebrating, they can be mapped!
