Chantal Bakker started Goodness Cakes after seeing a gap in the market for sugar-free, gluten-free AND vegan cakes (who knew there was even such a thing). With her entire start-up budget exhausted securing the shop premises and equipment, D&O took Goodness Cakes on as a Design it Forward recipient. What started as a little idea rapidly became a Central Coast institution—who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too? Chantel has since moved back across the ditch to New Zealand, but this remains a personal favourite Design it Forward project.
